U.S. Debt Clock
Below is a link to a website showing the U.S. debt clock, but it also has other features that I would encourage you to check out, such as the world debt clocks. Use the “Debt clock time machine” to skip ahead four years, if we continue at current rates, we will be 22 trillion in debt. I wish we had the luxury of being able to worry about social issues, but the truth is we don’t. We NEED to focus on one thing and one thing only, cutting spending, and creating jobs. Unless we are able to solve our debt problem, we won’t even have a country to provide social and civil liberties. Stop voting because this senator supports gay rights, or because that representative fights for your minority, or because this representative supports your union. The time has come where we can’t afford to fight over social liberties, or entitlements like children, the time to grow up and save our country from the brink is now. I hope I’m not alone in this. I’m also sure I’ll catch flack for this, but I would rather catch flack from a child in a grown ups body than see my country become apart of the history books.
